So this weeks theme is What's in your 3rd Draw?


Of course another chance to play in my new kitchen and take more photos.

The 3rd Draw holds my tea towels (24 and that's not counting the ones in the laundry and on the line) place mats (8) a few tablecloths and 7 pot holders !!!


How many tea-towels does a good housekeeper need? who has more?




And while I'm asking questions here's another one...........
 Is there a sorta rule about how many themes its acceptable to be following?  


I don't want you all to think i have nothing else to do but their so much fun and i so like to support bloggers who are brave enough to host a theme.......

JaM As a Child

This weeks JaM is all about the Child you were.........................

How life's experiences and dreams have shaped us into the people we are today.

I actually don't even remember the above photo being taken but its the only one of me in a dress, cardy and handbag, most of our photos were taken in front of Dad's garden beds and that's who i get my love of gardening from.

 I do usually have a smile on my face most days.

                                                   

Many trips camping, visiting the beach, Sunday drives .....................

                                                      

I always enjoyed time spent under the big blue skies "In the Country"

and carried a little dream inside me that one day i would find my own special place.......................................

Of course my mother played a huge part in the person i am today, she encouraged and allowed me to be me.............................

Taught me how to Sew, knit and cook...................

Never passed judgement on my choice of friends................

Was ready to help when i asked................the list is endless..........

Over the years Bob has brought me numerous pieces of bling which i adore and are very special...................... but at the moment i just love wearing my three silver bracelets.

Handmade by a silver smith in the little hill-top town of San Gimignano in Italy.
 I spent a day in this wonderful little town of towers last year during my exciting trip last year ...........some photos here           

When  wear them I'm constantly reminded of this special time...............
which for me was quite a personal journey........... the wonderful people I met, places I visited,fantastic food and the friends I made .........................

I'm a tad embarrassed with the amount of w.i.p. i have!! 

As soon as the new living room/kitchen was finished i brought SOME of them out of storage, this picture shows them lined up next to the kitchen table just waiting for me to find the time........ well actually the motivation to get stuck into them. 

              

                                                 

Upon further inspection of the pile the oldest w.i.p would have to be these blocks of small squares which i plan to make into cushions for a couple of old cane chairs. (will look great on the new veranda)

Today's a pretty exciting day for me.................................

The sewing machine can now come in from the Caravan.....................

Hubby's finished laying our new floor, our wood heater's installed, the camping chairs are now packed away and we have moved the couch back in.............

The flatpak kitchen is nearly finished and I'm just loving our new room......

JaM 10 Ten things...........

This week at JaM.......... Jody is seeking to extract some juicy info about ourselves........................................

I love following Jody's Blog, shes sooo creative, funny, honest and inspiring.............................

I started my second blog to encourage myself to get back into all things creative inside the house, to finish off all those projects and maybe start a few more...............................make myself some stylish new shirts and tops !!!
Well I've at least brought some patterns...................and cut up a few old shirts for some experimenting.....

Now back to this weeks JaM ........10 Things i can bring myself to share with my dear blogging friends........

  1. My star sign is Capricorn and i can be a tad stubborn.

  2. I turn 50 next year..........and don't want a party, holiday to Italy instead (dreaming)

  3. When i turned 40 my husband Bob brought me a horse a beautiful part Arab i named Tim, we spent 8 wonderful years learning together, bush walks, navigation rides, show-jumping and cross country jumping.
Last year i made the most hardest decision to sell him......... his new home is not far away and his new owner is a 11 year old boy who attends riding with disabled, a few weeks ago they came 3rd in the Summer Royal at Werribee................I'm happy Tim is well looked after and making a young boys life fun!!

4. This year iv'e swapped horse-riding for  Yoga.

5. I prefer reading (i love books) than watching TV.

6.I am the youngest of 3 daughters and had a carefree childhood.

7.After my 1st marriage failed i swore i'd never get married again, My second husband rose to the challenge and it took him 6 six years to change my mind. (i'm glad he did)

8.I have a secret(not any more) ambition to write a book.

9.I drink tea at home but love(need) to have coffee with a girlfriend a couple of times a week.

10.I have really curly hair which has annoyed me all my life and drives me crazy!!! but when i straighten it my children laugh and everyone says they like it curly..........
Last year when i was overseas i had it all cut off nice and short...............its grown back now
